I've heard way too many times from people who used to play an instrument that they wish they never quit.

When I ask what caused them to discontinue, it's usually one of two reasons - either it wasn't deemed "cool" enough at the time (which is a total lie - music is awesome!!), or that a teacher didn't provide enough of a stable or encouraging atmosphere that they needed to stay motivated to succeed.

I'm very dedicated to my students and strive to give each one of them an experience with their journey in music. Learning is fun, not a chore!! And together, we aim for consistent progress each week, not instant perfection. Improvement happens with continued attention and focus, and I'm here to provide the best environment for that.

Everyone is unique, and I recognize that by using my students' strengths and personalities, I can help them learn more efficiently, all while having a great time. Ultimately, it's about learning properly and more thoroughly with the help of weekly coaching than you would on your own, and gaining independence as you find greater joy of playing.

I'm currently accepting students of all ages and skill levels for Winter 2025 / 2026 and offer 30 and 60 minute private lessons, which are personalized for each student based on their age, level of prior music education, and goals. We work to improve posture, relaxation of movement, home practice habits, counting, sight-reading, goal setting, and performance skills - and that's just the tip of the iceberg!!
